The Division of Streets, Bridges and Harbor is responsible for:
- Repair and maintenance of City streets, alleys, and bridges.
- Surface treatment (tar and stone) on unimproved streets.
- Pothole repair.
- Street sweeping.
- Alley cleaning and maintenance.
- Leaf collection and disposal on all City streets, usually beginning the last week in October.
- Removal of snow and ice on all City streets.
- Inspection and maintenance of bridges.
- Residential housing demolition.
- 24-Hour service truck operation including barricading roadway hazards, sanding of oil spills, and dead animal pickup.
